ANITYA by Kana Ogasawara

I think that “anitya” is rooted in Japanese aesthetics. It is a feeling that many people feel beautiful when they see the falling cherry blossoms and the water of the falling waterfall.
Anitya means that everything doesn’t continue to exist as it is, but changes and changes in the course of time, and continues to exist. These works reflect the flow of nature through the wind and reconsider the Japanese sense of aesthetics, despite being in a place where change is difficult to perceive. As the height, position, and time of the wings change, they repeat. When it doesn’t move because of the wind, or when it’s hit by the rain, these clearly show the situation, reminding us of anitya.
