IDREIT is a Melbourne-based online magazine presenting the simplicity and beauty of Japanese interior design to the global design community. We are currently working to expand our scope to the world and to be a platform for connecting people through curated design.

Message from the founding editor:

"I grew up in Tokyo and worked in that fascinating metropolis as a magazine editor for 15 years. I happened to visit Melbourne and fell in love with this beautiful multi-cultural city full of friendly people and good coffee. When I moved to Melbourne in 2017, I rediscovered the  minimalistic beauty and materiality of Japanese interior design. I thought that someone who loves Japan should introduce such work, and started thinking about founding an independent medium to do so. We started IDREIT from Melbourne in 2020. We want to present the meticulous attention to detail of simple designs, and their backstories through our articles."
